History of Eastbrook Academy

Eastbrook Academy grew out of a vision of the local church with a biblical mandate to reach a broad range of people in the city of Milwaukee for Christ. The “reach” included developing strong leadership for the future of the city. The goal was to equip individuals with a superior education and skills required for access to higher education, employment, exposure to and love for the nations, intellectual exploration and lifelong learning.

With the support of Eastbrook Church and the support of the community, Eastbrook Academy Lower School opened in 1998. The Academy began with a pre-school, four-year, five-year old kindergarten and first grade. The Academy grew slowly by adding one grade level per year to its current two classrooms per grade. The Middle School was then added in 2003 and the High School was added in 2006.

In 2006, Eastbrook Church expanded its facilities to include additional classroom space, elevators, a connection space between the school and worship/gathering/classroom area and parking. Through this expansion, family and financial support of organizations such as Partners Advancing Values in Education (PAVE) and the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation (TALC) a ninth grade was added.

Plans have been developed and fundraising is underway for the addition of a multi-purpose /gymnasium facility.
